You said Unix, not Linux, so get yourself Solaris (http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/opensolaris/get.jsp).

What you do with it depends whether you want to learn as a developer or a sysadmin. In any case, use the command line, not the GUI. Read all the man pages.

I think eq should just degrade over time, probalbly according to how much it is used. So armor ac would increase gradualy as you wear it in fights. Lumpy beds at WD inn

I can't get a decent nights sleep. When I log a char for over a mud day, rented at the inn, it doesn't regain full moves (let alone hp).

Healing I can understand not being complete, could take more than a day that,but moves? I didn't get out of bed for 24 hours! No way should I still be tired.

Mud Mail not deleted with char

I rolled a new char recently (Oct 19) and found 2 mud mails from Oct 5 and 6 already there. Presumably sent to someone who had the same name and later deleted the char.

Could save someone embarassment if mail were cleared when a char is deleted.

Hide is wisdom based - you DO want good hide. My level 45 grey_elf rogue has 75 wis and hide rarely fails. Don't know how much that helps
