Hrmm I wonder what the differences are between american scouting and canadian scouting, personally found that much of the ritual or ceremony involved was of a more militaristic nature. at least that was the case in my troop. I for one would have missed out on a very rewarding portion of my childhood...

I personally find the 3.5 ranger is a decent class. Sure they're not the heavy hittersd that a straight up warrior is, but straight up warriors don't cast... so i guess thats a balance thing. I for one really appreciated the ranger changes that came in with 3.5. took them away from being a one trick...

You know, they're co-ed up in canada now, so they teach girls the same values these days, though the motto up here is be prepared. Not only was I a scout for 4 yrs, came back as a leader for another 2. Loved the kids, loved the fun, i thought it was great. A really rewarding lil slice of my life.

Not terribly helpful, so many class race combos to choose from. I've got access to most 3.5 books as well, know a fair bit about mechanics, still play in a weekly game. If you have some idea of what kind of character you wanna be playing, i can give you some advice on builds. But until you've got a ...

As far as the question if the Imm's plan to do anything about the declining evil pbase. I think that would be a no. The last effort put in, although has done quite a bit in the way of helping evils round out groups was by and large apparently not a good thing for the pbase. I mean, why idle as an ev...

After taking a peek at the monster in question, Looks to me like a CR 3 is appropriate. Nothing listed there seems to boosted. Dunno how it managed to kick so much butt. From what you've posted I can't see as how you over rated its intelligence.
