Add mercenaries
lower exp tables for all non-rogues/rangers (damage classes don't need help methinks)

You know, Homeland had a good system of this in place, it might be simpler to use that system. Support casters, rogues, and tanks would be a good start. In mercenary camps near major locations players congregate; Waterdeep, Baldur's Gate, and Viper's Tongue would be good preliminary choices. Prolly ...

I loved ToB because it finally allowed me to play fighter that was as complicated as a wizard. Overall the ToB classes are equal or even a little weaker than the fighter class. Most of the ToB classes have less versatility in that they don't get the massive number of feats and ToB classes have to ha...

I felt the need to dredge this up. I've played evil for about 90% of my time here on Toril, did some decent stuff, had alot of fun, and worked under some good leaders. The only problem was that I knew I'd never get near top-tier eq as an evil. We don't have enough people to do major zones, we don't ...

I don't know where your getting this idea that ethanol is more polluting than gasoline...Anyway i support prairie grass ethanol, not that damned corn stuff, it is a lot cleaner burning than gas, a crop can be harvested every 2 weeks, and it creates a more natural habitat for wildlife. And oh yeah La...

Its hard to believe there are people this uneducated out there so let me break this down. I'm a Geology major, and for those who don't know what that is it is the study of the Earth. Global warming is happening, we are currently experiencing the highest temperatures that the Earth has seen in over t...

First off Lathandar yer wrong. CFCs bond with the O3 in the atmosphere and deplete the ozone layer which is that nice layer of gasses that protects us from major portion of the suns radiation and as such would increase temperature. Secondly yes the earth goes through natural warm and cold phases, ho...

Yay for guildhalls!
I believe that guildhalls would be a good things especially if guild storage likened to that of character storage at inns or guild storage chests were put in. It was of great help on Homeland where people put extra eq they did'nt need, quest items, and such in the guild chest for peoples use. This s...

I'd have do disagree with what you said about rogues and neutrality. Neutrality is'nt just about balance its about following the natural course. Law of nature etc. So i'd say it is more than probable for a loot seeking character to be neutral and he's only drift into being evil if he uses diabolical...

Maybe instead of creating a new place for people to post and argue we should instead focus on not flaming and such in the current boards. I think all people should have the right to have their ideas heard and weighed equally be they vet or newb. Just keep spam and flaming down to a minimum in this f...

Not sure if this has been said...
I may not be the first to say this but I'd love to see the exp system from tabletop AD&D come in here. It is fair, treats all characters equally, and overall a very well balanced system. The implementation of this system would probably take some coding, maybe a lot of it (no real clue), but it w...

You are missing the point. All races are equal in truth, that is the way things are in D&D. Only racial innates and certain attributes that make a difference. The fact of the matter is that sure an orc may start out with a negative to intelligence, but this does not mean he cannot compete with a...

Holy counterspells, Batman!
In regards to counterspells and feats being implemented. Will there be an Improved Counterspell feat? If there is that will be a whole new can of worms, a good one in that one general mage could counterspell anything as long as they could identify it (via spellcraft), but bad in that mobs could do t...

Give peace a chance
I'm for dropping group restrictions. The fact of the matter is that people want to zone, be they good or evil. However due to some reason goodies are more prolific than evils; this fact coupled with the fact that zoning is generally harder for evils (I’ve heard tell of this) leads to goodies zoning ...

I'm really liking the path your on with this feat setup. The fact that your allowing retraining will make the system fluid and adaptable which is always good. I only see one problem with feats on a mud and that is over specialization and as such making it harder to zone effectively, but I realize th...

Maybe we can stop the arguing about pay to play and why halfling warriors somehow suck and this madness about eq or pwipes. Let us focus on the fact that we'll all have some new stuff to learn. That's not a bad thing and with new classes I expect groups will come together easier as there will be mor...

Aye that it is
I played Exile and Homeland pretty much exclusively; I dabbled in Toril, Sojourn, or whatever you called yourselves, but was never able to get into your mud. It is a very hostile seeming mud, both environment wise and player wise in some cases. I saw many good times on Homeland and quite a few bad o...
