Yeah, I've seen that too. If you blind a mob, it is still able to switch in the same round even though its blind. Probably some timing issue with the combat code.

Personally I like the eq handed out by leader, but this only works really well if you are with people you group with a lot. For diffearnt mixes of people, normal bidding seems to work better.

Seems like it happens a lot more than occasionally though. And if thats the case, mob regen is damned high to go from morted to awful in 1 tick....

Seems to depends on your class. If you can do the damage, you'll still get good xp.

I know firsthand that for clerics lvl 18-20 is extremely painful. We don't have the healing to have the groups do larger mobs, and we don't get any damage xp since we're busy trying to keep the tank alive.

Geez.. I'll tell ya, some people don't have hoardes of cash that they don't know what to do with. I'm a lvl 19 cleric, and have about 75plat now, and maybe 150plat total in all coins. And the only thing I've spent money on is training. Makes me wonder if all the mobs with good cash are in evil zones...

Chuckle Malacar.. its not much differant over on the mainland. People hoarding eq too. Level 18 Human Cleric
Playing Time: 2 days / 2 hours/ 22 minutes

Been grouping with Hyldryn a lot (lvl 25 Pal now), who I must say is the god of non-stop killing. Been cycling through a good mixture of bgr stuff, IC mobs, and WD mobs to keep trophy low.

Oh.. one more bigger one. Blindness spell.. helpfile says its supposed to last 3 minutes. However, I've times it lasting anywhere between 100sec and 140sec.. nowhere close to the 3 min that I thought it lasted. If its skill dependant, maybe update the help file to say so instead of listing duration ...

Rogue classed mobs can circle when they're tanking. Helpfile says you cannot circle while tanking. Not sure how you can circle while being attacked by like 5 people. Wait till you get your invoke spellcast up, and get to higher level.
Also, since you specialize in healing, cause crit is doing extra damage. But flamestrike can do quite a bit as your level goes up, while cause crit maxes out and just gets the specialize bonus.

Yeah, seriously. Just do a who s and you'll see that quite a few of the highest people are elves (notably elven clerics.. can we say lvl 40 holy word scroll? )

I think casting time for clerics is based on Wisdom, but Int helps a litle also. As for Quick Chant, it should cut the casting time in half or so depending on the skill level from what I understand. QC is checked for before the **** is shown.. so a spell that normally is 6 starts should start at 3 s...

I wonder abou the whole classed/non-classed mob thing.. whats the reason for non-classed being relitavely crappy xp? IT seems that a classed mob is the same xp as a non-classed mob that is 10 levels higher.

I've been noticing (along with quite a few other people I group with) that hit point gains seem to be quite a bit lower than during Alpha. For example, as a human cleric with high con notch, I get 6-10hps/level. In Alpha at lvl 10, I had 106hps, and now for beta I have 95hps at lvl 10 (averaging 7.4...

Yeah, that looked like a _really_ hardcore crash. The mud just totally stopped responding on my end.. didn't even get disconnected, so I killed it myself. I get worried when it crashes w/o any disconnect, and when it doesn't come right back up. Image

Yes, I've noticed the same thing. Been in fights where a morted/incap mob stands the same round and attacks me and almost kills me before we can hit it again.

Also, we are still missing incap/morted mobs. This was fixed a tsome point in Alpha, but it seems to be broken again.

Look, I don't know about the rest of you, but I've never liked dying, even on a high lvl zone where there was a 50/50 chance of it happening. Yes, I agre with Joth's post. It sounds like a resonable amount to me. The way it currently is, cure spells are almost useless until clerics get heal. My cure crits do 30 if I'm lucky, and I sometimes get a whopping 14hps out of them. Cure serious is a waste, and cure light.. don't even bother memin...
