Actually, Cold/Fireshield can increase the length of stone duration and in general reduced mob damage to you per round by about 18 hp when last I zoned with my lvl 50. It also had the benefit of doing slightly increased damage to the mob when it hit you....If you were coldshielded and the mob was fi...

I played it a long time ago with a friend. Your best bet is to make a summoning druid, all the pets take up a ton of the big hits. Also, the side quests and eventually killing the dragons lead to sweet gear that you can re-eq chars with later. Lastly, before doing TOB expansion, do the Gaax demi lic...

You were guilded with half of them last wipe as Kildran, no? Not a "noob" who never got the chance to go and was putting in multi-death jot runs at the time. And Torin's still would've been fun for my dorf to have as well, but by the time I had even heard of it, it was out of the game save the 4 tha...

I think alot of people forget what the game was like back then. We were either all new, or vets who were just coming back into a 'groove'. There were no Elementalists. There were no upgraded bards. There was no wormhole, many quest spells hadn't been implemented. So much has changed. The Lost While...

I think you owe torkur an apology for that sassy remark, elistraee, as you took what he said entirely out of context. What's good for the goose isn't good for the gander? The funny part, Sylvos, is that 2/3 of the playerbase saw it my way and quit with changes that make no sense like the recent eq ...

Eilistraee, you don't listen to the playerbase, you listen to a select base of players. The same base of players. BIG difference and it shows. The mud hierarchy here is alot like the current government. A bunch of Republicans sitting around, making changes only listening to Republicans. Then they wo...

A couple points from a zoner turned more casual player after reading all that..... 1) Dartan's mostly right on equipment, only easier zones should give equipment you can zone with up to the next tier or two of difficulty. Stuff like BC/Hulburg should just give eq for the elite that makes you wet you...

Stackable Cleric Blind
Blinding for cleric classes only lasts about a minute, has a horrible cast time without landing qc, and in general is barely worth using. Given mage pwb, it's kind of a joke other than the limited uses of sunray and that cleric classes get it at a lower circle. Would it be horribly unbalancing if it...

Gurns, this mud doesn't treasure the old, fun places, it makes the old places literally give nothing better than "treasure" both in xp and eq. Exp has used this scale for the past 5 or 6 years when people "outgrow" a zone and it gets replaced by the next new thing and with the nerfing of items, eq i...

My mages lost about 75-90 hp and a couple cool things like sense life, pfl, etc. All in all, a couple things I disagree with, but good changes and won't affect zoning hardly at all. With the downgrades to hit/dam/saves and ac for melee and their competing even less with mages who only lost hitpoints...... Could we try adjusting the "knobs".... 1) So that 20-25+ hitroll hits all mobs for melee classes with 75+ offensive skills? (this is about level 41+...the same level mages can...

Airship items and quests
These got downgraded mostly which surprises me in some cases compared to similar zone fight items. The rares for these items are horribly rare. Yes, they used to pop at too high a rate and some people farmed them. Yes, some are soloable for some people. With the zone pop times though, some quests- l...

Would it be possible to allow putting items back into pcorpses? It would be cool if you could put your own eq into the corpse for resses, maybe even your cursed weapons. The Chronicles of Twilight Raven: Okep, Torkur's Apprentice
Sitting at the desk, still fuming from the news, Okep was not happy. “Grrr, Master had to go and help somebody, as usual, and I’m stuck keeping an eye on things,” he thought. “When I’m the Master, I’ll spend time discovering more power, not wasting it on fools errands and old ‘friends.’ Ah well, tim...

Prestige and Quest Ideas
Had a couple ideas on some minor annoyances I've found and ways to fix them using prestige and/or quests. 1) WD gates locking at night. Not a big deal with relo/well/dim/fold/pickers, but sometimes it'd be nice to be able to open them with a keyword or a magic seal or something to show the guards an...

Illusionists. With mislead, feign death, rainbow pattern, sequester, displace, mirror image, camo, invis, change self, fold, and decent nukes, you don't wanna know what you can twink with them.
