EQ doesn't make the player (completely) and I haven't turned down someone from doing a zone because they were using newbie type stuff, but when it comes down to doing that zones that are more worthy of doing now I'm going to want to take someone with descent eq, especially since the more newbie-ish...

Thanuk's Mullet
How could this possibly be downgraded? This was the worst mullet in the game, and now it’s downright useless.

For the love of god, talk to some highly skilled players on both sides before you do changes like this so I don't have to hear people piss and moan about changes. And no I'm not suggesting myself. For Goodies I nominate Lilithelle and Sylvos, 2 people that put the mud way before personal ambitions/...

"How did Muspel end up with so many points. It isn't like it's hard or anything...at least not hard enough to merit half of the items it rewards." It has a lot of mob levels, it has several modifiers that help as well (i.e. can't shift in most places). I'm sure Muspel is completely fair according to...

There are no 'bonus' points, points are fixed and are just transferred around. Increasing Zone B leads to a decrease in net Zone A points. Even though it doesn't seem fair that you have to do Avernus to get to BC, Avernus drops its own eq which makes it worthwhile in its own right...not a perfect sy...

Also the entire theme of the earring has changed from a hitters earring, to a possible warrior earring. Quest > Zone. Flaming is better for 95% of the mud now, and is extremely easy to get, ...

If 14 spanked you either had really _really_ bad luck, or people weren't doing they're jobs (afk ect). I'm suprised you didn't spank in Astral...

I'm not sure where you get this from... Zones are incredibly easy nowdays, deaths are rare, and in the case of a death, a ress is basically assured, and gives you back all but a notch or 2 of exps. For most classes, in most zones, its exp+ now, there are exceptions. Most people agree the EQ zones sh...

Botting is bad, should never be allowed. But the exp system has got out of control, and the recent additions of those dreadful 'xp-only' zones, have only compounded the problem. Is the war and reconstruction going to cost a lot? You bet. I've seen estimates run from 30-120 billion for the war. Is this a lot for the US government? Not really. Corth mentioned how all classes are one-trick ponies. Not quite one trick, but yes, that's the way it often is. In case it wasn't clear, I'm proposing this *as* a fix to melee Its a fun idea to throw around, but this wouldn't come close to fixxing the problems (like using a bandaid on a bullet wound). Sure that's all well and good, but that wouldn't happen in a more dynamic combat system because all of the clerics, enchanters, invokers, illusionists, ect. et all would be standing behind a wall of meatshield tanks so that the mobs wouldn't be able to get AT the casters in order to grapple them, s...

As I see it Rangers are fine, its the combat system as a whole thats broken. I think throwing around ideas to help fix the comba...
