Yeah, Vista copied a lot of the same features as Server 2003, wherein you have to explicitly give permissions even to administrators. It's a good thing to have, unfortunately I think the concept is a bit over the heads of most at-home Vista users.

If you don't have an XP cd, you could always just run an Ubuntu live CD. Live CD's are the best damn thing ever invented in terms of OS and security.

UNM is a good school. I grew up in NM, and had several friends in the Albuquerque area. The weather is all over the radar there, from 110 sometimes in the summer to 8 inches of snow in the winter. You're pretty close to the southern most point of the Rockies, so it's not quite the flat barren desert...

Relay has nothing to do with the computer. It's all in the router or switch processing the information. I brought up UDP because you're referring to things being in order, which is a given because both protocols we're talking about are TCP. That's all. You're not telnetting through two different PCs...

Because you were lagged from a previous aggro, or other lagging action like bash/kick/hitall/headbutt.

Agg 0 is a great way to start a big fight, but if you're constantly lagged by rescues, you're not going to be much help with the walkins if you're engaged in combat.
