Thats why I mentioned that the mobs were cursed already, which means it _should've_ been a lot easier to hit with silence person, but it wasn't. Yeah, I'm wondering about the 2h mounted combat.. I've groiuped with Hyldy enough and seen him try 2h and get slapped around when he falls off his horse.. but with 1h he basically doesn't fall off. Kinda makes me wonder if 2h mounted combat is gonna be a viable solution, even when the skill is at 95...

Yeah, curse actually really sucks for a 6th circle spell. I keep one prayed and use it just for the novelty effect of being able to (rarely) curse a high lvl mob. As a cleric I would swear that spellcast/specialize healing skill helped reduce chance of stat drain. Waaay back (maybe 4-5 years ago) when stats were messed up, some gods were doing manual stat fixes for high lvl chars. Anyone else use the curse spell? I have, and to be honest, it doesn't seem lik eit does anything. In fact, I would swear that mobs hit _harder_ and crit more after I cure them. From the sound of the spell description it seems like the spell would only really effect the first few attacks, and after that the mob knows where to pinpoint the target. Is this how it works? Personally I think the whole PCs being able to tie up orther PCs should get wacked. It all comes down to how realistic you want it, versus playability. I think mounted combat gives pals/antis a real good place in the mud. The horse will be hurt by area effect spells as far as I know. Having it get killed in 1 or 2 hits from big mobs will negate all the benefits of mounted combat an...

Well, I would think its assumed that the mounted person will use their skills to prevent the mob from wacking their horse. Maybe have a chance of the horse taking a -small- amount of damage during flank blocks, so that you have to at least armor the horse or check its health every now and then. But ...
