I'm a big fan of the golf bag actually.. it's a melee classes version of choosing which spell to cast. I always enjoyed fights more when it actually mattered if you started with an ebony to blind, then swapped out for damage, or used giantbane when fighting beards, or rock crusher, or chose skullsma...

Not going to look through the different examples but I know they ARE coded differently. For instance - some of them reset charge to zero when worn. As such no half charges. I'm sure some only charge when worn, and then stay half charged and don't reset when re-worn.. but's it's specific to the item....

Some items will reset their timer when you remove & re-equip them, others won't. In general they reset because I don't like the idea of using them as a consumable like scrolls, potions, staves & wands. This is also because sometimes they have less then stellar stats to make up for a great pr...

I understand and agree with you that TIME is too valuable to lose because you need to CR. EXP on the other hand isn't valuable enough, half the fun in big zones is fear.. and I dunno about you but with all the transportation / sneak.hiding / CR spells we have, there isn't much fear left in the game....
