Fyi it is not a racist statement to say that many of the illegals can live on low wages because of their living conditions... ie many people in a small apartment. This is exactly what is happening in Framingham, a town nearby to me. There are extreme cases of housing violations, not to mention fire ...

Yes, I agree with the original post for this thread, that a pre-screening system is flawed at best, and full of kickbacks, corruption, and pork at worst. I see no need for something like that, because as said illegals will still work and get paid under the table and avoid the system. I only see some...

Sorry, but the whole argument about illegals doing jobs that 'americans don't want' it bull. The reason illegals are being payed those low wages is because it is under the table and is avoiding taxes. The employer doesn't report it, and the illegal worker doesn't report it. If they actually had to r...

Well if you're buying a new PC, the way I'd suggest doing this is to get a motherboard with two PCI-e slots and put in two PCI-Express graphics boards. Best way to support this is with the nVidia nForce3 SLI x16 chipset so that both cards get full bandwidth with 16 lanes each. Set the motherboard in...

Its hypocrisy at its worst. Its OK for the Muslims to say whatever they want about other religions and other people (such as behead them, kill them, die die die die), but if anything is said about them, they freak out. Also, this BS about it being against their law to draw/print pictures of Mohammad...

I didn't strip the warranty, thats what the company got. Incidently we've never had problems with hardware failing until they switched to Dell. Btw yes it was a hardware mirror with software/drivers that is supposed to catch a disk error like this. Luckily I had a ghost from a couple months ago, so ...

Dell Sucks
Yeah. So a couple years ago two of us got spanky high end systems at work. About three months ago, the other guy's hard drive (Seagate 120GB 7200rpm SATA) kicked it and he had to get a new HD and reinstall windows and rebuild from scratch. Luckily I was able to get the remains of the drive up on ano...

OK, so we know about the insane corpse pile after finishing Tia, and how long it takes to res and stuff... so how about this: Add a Wand of Resurrection to tia, 200 charges, !rent, and doesn't generate any res effects. Alternatively, make a room in there after finishing Tia become area effect time s...

XP does its own defragging whenever the system isn't in use, usually at night or whenever. That's why you always see your system light busy if you happen to peek over at the machine. Wierd... I've never seen this behavior on any of my XP systems either at home or work. Did you set up defrag through...

Unfortunately that could be almost anything... The more likely causes are a cold solder joint on the motherboard or another component (which are very difficult to find without a solder rework station). Also an iffy connector could do that. Easiest thing to do is reseat all of your expansion cards an...

Yeah that Asus 8N32N SLI motherboard is quite nice. About the new chipset, I wouldn't get it right away... you know how that works. First revision of motherboards with a new chipset also means first rev (beta) bios, so likely not the most stable thing, and probalby some bugs in the chipset and/or dr...

I heard something from a god way back in Sojourn1 that the effectiveness of some skills was based on play time. If there is still some kind of modifier that took into account a combination of ptime, prestige, and experience along with the skill level, then I wouldn't have a problem with making it ea...

I think reducing res effects would be a nice improvement, and still prevent the 'returning to combat too quickly' issue. If you cut it in half to 5 min, and 2.5min with bard recovery song then you still get the same penalty effect but not as much annoyance of sitting around and waiting to do somethi...

Don't bother with AGP anymore. All of the next generation graphics chips are going to be for PCI-e. As for SLI, I personally don't think its worth it unless you are a really hardcore gamer and need the horsepower to process more frames. I'd reccomend going with a higher end PCI-e graphics card and y...
