There are certain rules about stuff you can't sell. To enforce those rules on an auction channel, the gods would have to have someone monitering it 24/7. I don't think many of them are jumping at the thought of that (except possibly off bridges).

The sticky issue with goodie caster races is that you don't want humans to step on gnome toes and we only got the gnome toes off the elf ones this wipe. There has to be some advantage to both elves and gnomes, otherwise gnomes just wind up as strangely named humans with crappy strength.

Rangers can get rejuved actually. We don't have the immunity to aging from ghost mobs so we have to deal with it like everyone else. Still, it is annoying to have to rely on another person to take care of something that only really affects you and not a group you're in.

From my understanding of it, they decided to revamp weapons earlier this wipe but then put it on the backburner after they got through 1h piercers. New items can obviously just follow the new formula though. Hence it's mainly the old 1h slashing and 1h bludgeoning weapons that seem anemic.

Like most spells for rangers/dires/antis/palis, this would basically be something only used when exping or screwing around while all but useless in zones. It fits the precedent for fighter class spells and fits the class so it's worthy of consideration even if it won't be used much later on.
