I agree with Corth that this isn't really all that great of a precedent considering how the ruling seems to be rather narrow--duh, if I get paid in coins with a face value of $1.00 or $0.01 then I'm not going to pay much payroll tax. However, that would have made me wonder what sorts of minimum wage...

I'd be happy with a system of damage adjectives that didn't simply depend on how much of a mob's current hp you're taking away. It's silly how everyone's barely grazing a mob at first no matter what, and inflicting grievous wounds toward the end even if they're wielding pixie sticks. Being addresse...

In short, this failed prosecution has coalesced and exposed truths our Government desperately needs to hide from the People: the truth about our money, the truth about our (privately-owned) central bank, and the truth about the fraudulent nature of the operation and enforcement of the federal incom...

I can't blame them for avoiding some of the obviously shady invites ... why would a republican candidate go to an all black or all immigrant debate/forum when they know its just an attempt to blast them and they won't get any votes from it anyway. However it seems pretty dumb to skip out on an RNC ...

45% of British dentists will refuse to treat patients under the socialized system! Apparently the government is not paying dentists enough so they left the system. Damned free market! We should force them to treat patients for not enough money! Socialism. I support this message from our resident Li...

Very good point, Botef... Just some brainstorming on that concern: What about allowing a person who dies sub-25 loading in their guild with all of their gear? This way, yes, they may lose their pcorpse if they can't find their way to it (and they've lost the exp, too, so there's still a penalty for ...

Hillary by far. When she ran for the NY Senate seat I was extremely impressed with how much time and effort she actually put into her run. She went to every corner of NY and talked to people, trying to get to know the area and its concerns, recognizing that the state is made up of a lot more than ju...

Change the current exp grouping penalty and/or change the exp tables in favor of those classes who are in dire need of it. Cavecity is now home to some new overlords, who of course possess new equipment and maybe even some rare loads for your enjoyment. Actually, I agree with Sarvis. While this country is far too litigious (granted, I myself had sued someone last year for running me over--forgive my greed, but I was in pain), too many companies make far too much money before the lawsuits start rolling in. Thus, the amount of money they make on a fa...

Shev, in all seriousness what were your thoughts upon reviewing this 3 years ago? I didn't notice a follow-up post regarding your thoughts after you had reviewed it. Free 2-char multi does not address the fundamental problem: we need more players. If we had an influx of players, there would be enough that they could play with each other and free multi would be useless. If we don't have enough players, free 2-char multi won't cause 15-man zone runs to suddenly s...

This may be related: I've noticed in CM that if I'm exping against bugbears or duergars (for instance) with my necro, when my pets assist me they will growl at whichever bugbear/duergar is in the top of the room list, whether it's the mob I'm fighting or not. The pets will always engage the correct ...

Yeah... get a lawyer quickly and let him handle holding the police department accountable (ie. he's trained in how to give them a verbal lashing without making a misstep that could land you in trouble) and let him also advise you on what to do next (if anything). And get the airtime if and when the ...
