While they aren't object changes, there have been changes made to IC2 fights. Please go try out the zone and see if they are better. More changes might be made based on feedback.

Normal ethernet hubs/routers should work fine. I've used a regular 4-port hub before to get 16 player matches going.

If you're going to only hook up two xboxes with a single cable, it needs to be a crossover cable. Otherwise you'll have to run it through a hub or something.

This is a nice idea and all, and I've thought of ways to do it.

Just as a note, players were never effected by the 3ac on the earring as it was flagged wrong. It showed up on identify as being there, but thats it.
Earrings and rings both use one of the two effect fields for ac.

If you get the client from MS to use the remote desktop feature of your winxp box at home, you might be able to use that.
Basicly you would be using your computer just like you normally would. Dunno if the port would be allowed through your work's firewall though.
