I don't know if No-ID will be removed with 2.0. But what Shevarash meant is that you will know that a long sword will cause, for instance 1d8 damage and have a 10 percent chance of a critical causing double damage. A greataxe will do 1d12 damage and have a 5 percent chance of a critical causing trip...

There is nothing worse than liches. You can rail against the roleplay elements of this game as much as you wish, however there are aspects of roleplay in everything you do. A character who has sacrificed their mortality and embraced undeath, a state so unnatural that animals would instinctively shy ...

Both warped broadsword and the paired swords are as they are by design. The components used in the creation of the warped broadsword, as well as the craftsman, prevent it from being lightweight or balanced enough. The story behind the paired swords speaks for why their usability has been thus set. B...

I'll answer for Shevarash on that one Birile. All existing characters will have the ability to remake themselves with the customization options. Unlike the modifications to the stat roller in the past, this is a comprehensive overhaul to how a character is configured, and all characters will have th...

The lag exists so it's a deterrent to using it to locate a needed potion or similar utility item in a hurry. It's significant enough for a tracking mob to catch up to a player and have their fun. It also represents the time it would take to thoroughly look through the many and varied containers one ...

This is correct, for the most part. You will still lose the maximum amount of hitpoints upon level loss, however upon regaining level you will recover the same amount of hitpoints. So the initial illusion is that you suffer a greater loss, but it is recovered later. As an addendum to Jhorr's advice,...

The right to not go somewhere if smokers are nearby doesn't apply terribly well when it's a case of them hovering about in front of the hospital doors. Or in front of the mall, although there are often alternative entrances to malls. I can and do avoid some bars where smoking was done regularly, as ...

That is great. The next step is to completely ban smoking in all public areas. I just recently went to a Wolfmother concert in Minneapolis in a no-smoking venue (the whole city is !smoking) and have really never enjoyed a concert atmosphere that much. What an fn concept....I could breathe. No offen...

It was never a hard and fast rule, and served more as a guideline for mercy. There's tons of content on the MUD, the most recent reboot was even in danger of being postponed because a player located a super rare load at the 92nd hour, but needed several more hours before it would be able to be utili...

However, coping with a hardship imposed by your choices is up to you. Most people, especially near the Waterdeep area, would not want to associate or offer lodgings to a lich. The social stigma that a lich suffers due to their nature is one of the issues left to the player to resolve. Naturally we d...

I can answer to the last easiest. When a character is created, it is as if that character is just starting off fresh in the world. It is therefore assumed, that by virtue of the attitudes of that character's race their alignment will closest reflect the prevailing attitude of their culture of origin...
