For The Goat Boy

Postby Elisten » Fri Jun 14, 2002 12:10 am

So there I was, driving along the coast of some island in Hawaii. We were coming up this next hill and you know what I saw?

There were about 5 goats sitting there!

And damn if I didn't laugh to myself and think of Gormal.

Image It's good to be home.

Try some of the McDonalds musubi... That is, if they're marketing it.

For those of you who don't know, musubi is warm Spam sushi. Hormel's largest per-capita market is in Hawaii, where Spam is considered a delicacy.

Heh.

Spam is a delicacy? Ugh, is all I have to say. I had the opportunity to try the "real" delicacy of Hawaii, Poi. And let me say, it was very... delicately spit out. :P

Hehe, and about McDonald's... they serve rice! With Aloha Shoyu! Man, I love Hawaii.

PS - Zoldren.. didn't I mention? The goats WERE pink! Image

Its funny how the locals make fun of the stuff, since I think only tourists actually try it. Image

i lived in hawaii for about 4 years.. tried Poi.. with enough sugar and prepared right it isn't bad.. i grew my dislike for "sushi" while i was there.. well, thats what they called it, it was more of a nasty piece of seeweed wrapped around rice with either 1) Nothing else or 2) Spam in the middle.. sometime id like to try the real stuff Image I have to say.. i never cared much for the locals.. of course, with blonde hair and blue eyes, id frequently hear, "Hey houlie boy, whatcha give me stink eye for? you like beef?"...
