Favorite quote of all time

Postby Blung » Thu Jan 24, 2002 11:13 pm

"I don't like half of you half as well as I should like. I like less than half of you half as well as you should deserve."

from Mr. Bilbo (Lord of the Ring)

This might be my favorite quote of all time.

just the hard way.

its fairly long, but this passage is from shakespear's henry v

Whoever does not have the stomach for this fight; let him depart. Give him money to speed his departure since we wish not to die in that man's company Whoever lives past today will rouse himself every year on this day, show his neighbors his scars, and tell embellished stories of all their great feats of battle. These stories he will teach his son and from this day until the end of the world we shall be rememberd. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers, forwhoever has shed his blood with me shall be my brother. And those men afraid to go wil think themselves lesser men as they hear of how we fought and died together.

Was alwayz fond of Murphy's Combat Laws, don't quite remember all of them.

1. Incoming fire as the right of way.
2. The only thing more dangerous than enemy fire is friendly fire.
3. All 5 second fuses will last exactly 3 seconds.
4. Remember, if the enemy is in range, so are you!
5. Try to look inconspicuous, the enemy maybe low on ammo.
6. If everything goes exactly as planned, it must be an ambush!
7. Chances are, if it needs to be put together in order to work, it can't be shipped together.
8. Remember that every piece of equipment you use was made by the lowest bidder.
9. When in doubt, empty your magazine
