An idea . . . .

Postby Daz » Fri Aug 23, 2002 9:42 pm

I don't play anymore, and I don't see myself coming back really. The BBS is better than the game, and the time vs reward just isn't at the level it once was.

That being said, I have all this equipment that isn't half bad going to waste, and I'm not giving it away since I don't have friends, and I doubt anyone would throw me a bone.

What I wanna know, what is something creative we can do where I can get people to do something, and I will give out the equipment I have as rewards.

what i got
2x nightshadees
2x nebulas
jot ringmail
polka cloak
fire opal armlets
shroud
fur belt
garnet mask
cuisse of spiders
gold dragonscale leggings
tinker bag
2x mental rings

probably a few other things. mostly junk compared to what everyone else has - but there might be a few people who could use that stuff.

Again, I don't wanna give it away - but to find a way to get people to do something fun to earn it would be cool.

Just a thought ..maybe create your own quest in game, have them produce stuff you know they really had to put effort into, but something that could maybe be soloed. Create a quiz maybe. Winner get a piece of eq. Just thoughts.

Omg Thruar log on and gimmie yer stuff! *lick*

Daz hmmm the quest idea would be a good one. . .maybe a better one that would satisfy both of your needs: log in and give it to a quest god (Malar, Miax, Lam, etc) and have them use the stuff as rewards. And they would have to say 'This quest sponsored by: Daz!' and you'd get all sorts of royalties and stuff. .. .or not, but you'd at least know your stuff was being fairly distributed =)

Lost

If any god wants to step up - i would be more than happy to contribute my set to a god to be redistributed as they feel fit and fun.

Why not have an obscure song quote contest, or a movie quote contest, etc. Stuff like that?

I will hold all the eq for ya ... til u decide to come back ... yeah, yeah! thats the ticket!

Or just hold a random newbie mud-jeopardy type thing .. trivia about the mud, eq, mobs, spells ... probably would have to be honor based since many many oldbies have low level alts ... have newbie helpers as judges ...

Malar can be Alex Trebec .... make an invite only god-room for the event, complete with hand-held buzzers (souveniers for the LOSERS) :P

Malar growls ferociously 'for a nebula .... what zone is Gwark located in?'

Have Miax do the cow thing for right answers and smite you for wrong ones :P

Great Idea. List a piece of EQ. List a question. First one to post the (a) correct answer wins it. Ask questions about stuff you know/like Daz. Then not only do you get the joy of seeing stupid answerd, you educate people about stuff they ought to know.

Not sure what specifics you looking for, so here are 3 that match your criterium:

Oldest player to score out of a kick: Eddie Murray (41)

Oldest player to score a touchdown: John Elway (38)

Oldest player to score a post-season touchdown: Jerry Rice (39)

Nope still not there. Re-read the question. There is only 1 answer, doesn't say touchdown, kick, anything... just oldest guy to score a point in NFL history.

Murray was old, but this guy was older (and actually the Eddie Murray thing is wrong).

Didnt mean to hijack your post Daz, if you want, I will move this to another post, but I think it would be a great way to disperse your loot if you wanted. I'd even hold it and hand it out to winners if you want, then you don't have to log in to deal with it.

Quizzes are way to easy to cheat in b/c of search engines like google.

Ah yes But Aedarton finally got it. Blanda was a QB for years, then became a kicker, hitting field goals after he turned 48. Other little know fact, he played 26 years in the NFL.

Not cheating Dartan. The whole idea was to get people thinking. As a teacher, I want kids to learn WHERE to find the info if they don't know it. Heck, I even gave a quiz where if they didn't know the answer they could write where they would find the answer for 1/4 credit. Each time had to be a different source, and it couldn't be me.

Anyway catch me in game Aed,I give you Token.
