Check out my friend\'s start-up internet business...

Postby Corth » Fri Sep 13, 2002 1:01 am

Hi Gene,
As you know I've been working for a long time now on launching my
business, The Social Entertainment Network (SEN). We have opened the
network up and it is currently free. It certainly isn't easy to launch a
new business in this economy, and we don't have a lot of money for
advertising. In order to get the business off the ground, I'm going to
need the help of my friends. I wanted to know if you could please pass on
the message below to the people you know, and perhaps ask them to pass it
on to their friends. I know you know a ton of people, and if you choose
you could really help me a lot. Of course I'll give all of your friends
free memberships, if they choose to try the software. Thank you very much,
I really appreciate your help.

David Berman

THE SOCIAL ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK

SEN is an online social club that provides busy people with a fast, fun way
to meet each other for dating, friendship or to make new contacts. SEN is
also a great way for couples to meet other couples who share things in
common. Like a virtual cocktail party that always draws a great crowd, SEN
gives you the opportunity to mingle with other members in real time. Using
colorful software, you can look at pictures and profiles of other
members. If you prefer a group atmosphere, hang out in our themed Venue
rooms. SEN also has great online dating features. SEN members receive
invitations to parties and events at venues in their neighborhood, so that
members can meet each other in person in a safe, fun and comfortable
environment. For a free membership, use VIP-Code "EK0912". If everyone
brings a few friends then there will be more people for everyone to meet
and mingle with, so please pass on this invitation!

To download the software, view screen shots, or for more information about
SEN, please visit:
http://www.SEN.US or contact info@sen.us.

Dave: when you fill out the enrollment form thing there is a check box for invites to sen parties and events. If you leave that checked off we'll send you an invitation to parties near you, and there is a link to turn that off at the buttom of the email or you can also opt out through the sen software itself.

So basically my impression is that whether or not you receive email from them depends upon whether you want it or not. I can vouch for this guy, I've known him for some 12 years or so and he has always been honest and up front. Hes just a regular guy trying to start up a business. The backbone for his system is working but he still needs to add a lot of his promised features. Basically its a chat system thats geared towards professional (upscale) singles who don't necessarily have the time to trawl the bars and clubs for dates, or for people to just hang out and chat. He plans on integrating the network with rl parties and meetings etc. Not exactly my cup of tea but I'm sure that it would be attractive to a lot of people. This guy is very accessible and open to new ideas and stuff, so it might be fun to get in on the ground floor and grow with the network if this sort of thing appeals to you.

In any event, I just want to add that I'm not getting anything for pimping his network, I'm just doing it as a favor.
