A year ago - April 24, 2000 - one of our own passed away - Aerlinn AngelFire. Many of us knew her, some on a very personal level, and everyone loved her. I wanted to remember this occasion in the environment that provided her great joy and the ability to be free. Aerlinn - Robin - had cystic fibrosis and was not always able to lead an active lifestyle in the real world. But on Sojourn / Toril Aerlinn AngelFire was willing to walk any distance to perform clerical services.

Please take a few moments today to remember her and her family.

Sometimes you lose a friend.

Sometimes you gain an angel.

I think anyone who knew Robin knows we all gained the latter.

Always,

I'm sure everyone is sorry for what has happened. The "Raven of Wisdom" was one of the most genuine and nicest people I met on the mud, and it doesn't surprise me in the least that she outlived all the doctors' predictions.

Aerlinn, you will be deeply missed.

I remember all the talks we have had...

Her most proud accomplishment was the day she got her quest item from Lloth...

A dangling raven earring with ruby eyes

I miss you...

I knew Aerlinn only by reputation, and she was very highly praised. I will remember her today, and pray for her and her family this evening before I sleep. Jurdex, your poetry is absolutely beautiful, and really touched me. I will miss her, even though I never knew her. Take care all.

I was lucky to meet Robin once irl. We have lost one of the genuinely good people. Good luck up there.

I hadn't heard this news, I guess I had
retired from toril before this happened,
and this news kinda hits you hard.
I was playing a human necro when I used
to be her for resses and she was the ONLY
cleric (besides the evil tadra) that would
go FAR out of her way to help a newbie. I mean there was one time she solo cr'ed me from that vamp knight near BS cause I was stupid and walked into him. Over the year or so I talked to her, she was ALWAYS happy, I never even knew she had health problems.
For a person like that to be able to enjoy life even though she has such huge problems, well that just says so much about her.
She was one of the true role models.

It is rare, that one such as myself would bring myself down to the level to post on things such as this... It is sad when days like this come, and especially to a person who was kind to everyone... even me.

Excellence in roleplay is not achieved by many, but to loose one who excelled in this field... is a great loss indeed.
