Frustrations

Brand new player, level 14 warrior and it is frustrating to ask something on the NHC and get acronyms back. WHere do I level? Go to WD or look for IC. What is that? IC??? WD I can figure out is WaterDeep but come on, as a newbie I don't know all the shortcuts or phrases that everyone else knows.

There is a reasonably good list on the main site:

You then ask me if IC is on the list, it isn't.

If it is a zone, then you can type "credits" and see if you can find a zone that sort of could be shortened to IC or whatevar, else just ask.

In half a year you'll be using them all yourself.

The easiest way is if someone tells you to go to IC, BGR, BG, etc.
just simply follow this example:

You tell Nokar 'Where is a good place for a level 14 warrior to level?'

Nokar tells you 'Go out e of WD and hit BGR'

now this is how you should reply.

You tell Nokar ' BGR?'

Nokar tells you 'Black Griffon Road'

Most any player on here if you ask BGR? or IC? etc. will tell you the full zone name because they know what you mean in asking in the format I showed you.
Also, by asking in the format I showed you... Not only will you gain the full zone name you can look it up on the credits list and see if it applies to your level.
