"feedback". If you cast a powerful area spell, it can really zap ya good. As the caster, if you cast an interacting spell at the same time as another, ZAP. Thus the need for well timed and called spells.

Heh...just wait for the "more hardcore than thou" types to come in and say that real vokers don't need a message.

If it's the same areas, then probably, yeah. It only affects the invokers themselves, though.

rofl I'm not negative :)

You seem to respond with stuff about the *more hardcore than thou* players this and that :P They are cool, those *more hardcore than thou* players. Listen to them, learn what they have to say. If they criticize it is for a reason. They praise as well as criticize, so if you haven't received any praise there may be a reason. :)

Yes on Doom.. not sure on Rot.

Ask Sotana and Lilithelle about the damage though...

I got an inferno zap the other day that took me from 872 to 150... OUCH. My first ferno zap. (That was even with us shouting what we were casting to the group...)

Soul tempest does not feedback.

Test out what does, it's fun!

There are other ways groupmembers can co-ordinate to minimize the risk of feedback too: designating a sequence for who casts what etc. and so on.

I'd like to see some more random haywire feedback, with some reasonable chances of similar spells giving feedback that normally would not, sometimes (but not do large amounts of damage).

thats what me, Oosh and Rokub used to do .. set order of casting or send eachother tells as to what spell was out, etc. We didn't spam the group :P

my first feedback was from a little ol' thunderblast.... took me from 800+ to welcome to toril baby.

i have tried the "tell the other vokers" unstead of gsays and found two many tells to be affective... gsay is one comand tells is up to 4...

i do however try not to spam gsay if i'm the only voker in the group....

aliasing a groupvokertell only makes it one command, too, hon.

however, i found that a lot of the goodrace old vokers liked areas to be gsaid cause it takes less attention to notice what the others are casting; and i've been asked to create gsays for them, so i did.

but you still have to force up to 4 commands at the mud... which takes time...

like when the warrior trying to rescue you emotes ouch not the face on a critical hit...
