Perhaps, and only perhaps, to add some "diversity" and "flavor" to each of the priestly type classes and sub-classes, a form of specialization could be chosen. Most likely it would be something that was chosen at the time the character is rolled, but it could be quested at a later time as well, depending on the coding.
Basically, the player would choose a diety (1 of ?) for their class, and would recieve bonuses or penalties to different skills/abilities depending on who was chosen. For instance if you chose a diety who had death as one of their spheres, your necromantic spells would be more potent, if you chose one that had healing as a sphere, youre healing spells would be a bit more potent. In addition, depending on the bonuses or penalties already incurred, an additional quest spell or special ability may be granted.
Just a suggestion to add RP flavor, and to diversify the cleric, paladin, shaman, druid, anti-paladin, ranger, and dire-raider.

I Think this would end up like old sorceror specialization. If you pick the wrong one your screwed. Anyone who had a spec fire mage will know what im talking about:)
