Well... since this seems to be broken, and there was some talk about eventually converting rangers to praying... how about converting rangers to pray now? Might be easier than fixing the spellcast nature mem bug... :shrug:

1) The spellcast nature bug is fixed.
2) Shevy said that moving rangers to praying would require some heavy modification of the core code, and it's a much bigger deal than it seems.

Providing that Sojourn is still Diku of sorts, all that's necessary is to fix the case structure in your mem/pray commands to accept ranger...basically a lil switcheroo.

Once the spell is memmed onto the stack it doesn't matter what the character's class is...

If perchance I am wrong, and that your code is ungodly more complex to change - I apologize for my interjection; yet also suggest that you revise your code and make it easier!

Actually I'd thought Miax said it... heh. But no big deal now that spellcast nature scribing is fixed. 'Course... I'm too poor atm to scribe all my 3rd circle spells... so changing it to prayer would be good.

Excellent with the mem -> pray change. That should have been changed long ago. I hope it turns out to be easy. If not, I recommend the temporary fix that rangers can receive free or cheap spellbooks with pre-scribed spells at their guilds. Get 'em from your guildmaster when you come home to prac up at key levels? Just an idea...
