It's an innate of the 'Phony' class. Last I heard, you were a warrior. No dice man, sorry. Wouldn't want to impinge upon the Phony's usefulness in groups, now would we?

He didn't do it innately- he used an item: strings and duct tape.

Man have you seen David Blaine do it? I didn't see any strings and duct tape...
He does it in the middle of the street with people walking around him and watching him...

David Blaine is freakin' magic. He can read your mind and levitate, make cards go through glass, make cards appear in your back pocket that were just in front of you.

You name it David Blaine can do it.

I think the secret lies in the tranquilizers he must take...

David Blaine makes people believe in magic. No matter how he does that, he IS a magician, and no amount of discrediting will say otherwise.

If David Blaine could really levitate at will, don't you think he'd be haunted by a media circus as well as scientists who wanted to document his abilities and figure out what makes him tick?

David Blaine is an illusionist and an entertainer. He is a very good illusionist, and very amusing to watch. I enjoy his work, but I don't believe for one second that it's anything but smoke and mirrors.

Scientists don't want to study David Blaine because they're skeptics like you Yayaril! He walks around calm and safe from probing because the scientific world will never believe he can do it! Brilliant! Image

LOL

also, i think DAvid Blaine really can float because i think humans are capable of anything, but that's just me and a bunch of other people who aren't close minded towards the "impossible".

Hey Captain Ignorant, don't post stuff like this unless you are sure. I get tired of reading mindless babble.

There are class specific innates.

Having gone to school with David, and talking to him on many occasions, I can assure you that there is nothing phony about the "tricks" that he performs.

I have seen him do them in RL in front of my eyes, and in fact have learned to do a couple of them. Not the really impressive ones, because I suck Image

We've been taught certain "truths" from the time we were young children. Due to this, most of us have trouble accepting anything that is beyond the scope of what is considered normal.

David is just extremely adept in harnessing the energies around him. We are all capable of doing so, it just takes a long time to learn how, and the willingness to accept that what you've learnt may not be entirely correct.

He is a person, I am sure other people must know him. By this logic, there are likely dozens of people (or more!) who know David Blaine. The government did not breed him in a test tube :P

And, yes... I know David Blaine. Not that big of a deal really. I don't know him well, as far as I know few do.
