Just found this story interesting since I had a classmate during sophomore year that died from this exact thing. Was a Ford Explorer, of course...Figure some of you may have kids old enough to drive so maybe this link will help you figure a safe vehicle
SUV + teen male = bad
When I turned 17 and got my license, my parents gave me their old Jeep Cherokee. I almost flipped it that first day when it fishtailed in the rain. Took me a while to get the hang of it, but I learned to respect it. On the other hand, I let my friend drive it back from the beach one day a couple of weeks after he got his license, and he managed to flip it over (and onto the other side of the highway) within 5 minutes. Luckily, all three of us in the car had our seat belts on, which is not typical for stupid teenagers. Nobody was seriously hurt.

Having said all that, the situation has been handled, so this thread is pretty much at an end. -Kossuth
Goddamned slippery mage.
Goddamned slippery mage.
I used to work for a car rental agency, this one employee fliped over a brand new Ford SUV the second day on his job. Suffice it to say he was promptly released.
