Just thought I'd drop a post from the ship! I can't telnet out yet.. I've gotta go schmooze some of the sysadmin guys to open up 9999 for me or something. I think I will be the first person to MUD from the middle of the ocean!

So, yeah, I tried getting around blocked ports for a long time, couldn't figure out http tunneling, don't have enough access and another comp or anything like that, anyways- Try getting a free shell account

I know the dahmer server there supports telnet, don't know how down they are with you using it to mud, but I don't think they could care. Anyways, just set up an account, then login through zmud or whatever client you wanna use, then run telnet and go to torilmud.org 9999, seemed to work well for me.
