POINT SYSTEM

After some careful consideration for others and taking feedback into account, I decided to not base the eq bidding on any prior Tiamat runs or wins. Also, there will not be any bid restrictions, however I will respectfully request that you not bid on an item if it's explicitly for trading purposes only.

Having said that, here's how the system will work:

100 points = Complete Tiamat run
50 points = Roughly 1/2 of a run completed
25 points = 4 hours or less spent at a run

For those who are there almost a full run, I will deduct 5 points for every hour missed either from being late, afk, or having to leave before the run is over. The points WILL be cumulative and carried over through runs. The definition of *late* is any point beyond that which the group enters the Tiamat zone.

REVISION 2 ADDITION: If you are NOT in/with the group by the time we enter the Tiamat zone itself, you will forfeit your first round bid. REVISION 4 ADDENDUM: However, I will consider equipment donations to make up for the difference of points.

Here's how the bidding system itself will work:

REVISION 2 CHANGE:
1st tier win = Removal of all points
2nd tier win = 50 points
3rd tier win = 25 points

REVISION 3 CHANGE TO ABOVE: "Rounds" was replaced by "tiers".

REVISION 3 ADDITION:
You can bid any tier any round, as long as that item is available on the group list. So, if you wish to bid a 3rd tier item for the 1st round of bidding, you will only be charged 25 points if you win, and you will be able to bid the next run.

I will be dicing based on the number of bidders, and their combined total points. For example, if I have 6 bids on an item, 4 of the people have 100 points, 1 has 85, and the other has only 25, I will be dicing "1 510".

REVISION 2 CHANGE: No more "point spreading", it was WAY too confusing for everyone, and really didn't seem to accomplish a lot.

Also, in the spirit of the evil old school "hand down" method, I am allowing the option of the bid winners to hand over the item they upgraded, or something of high level use that I can either dice in the subsequent rounds or save for a future run. I will reward back 25% of your points lost on the item you won if you do this. The maximums per round are 25 points for first, 10 for second, and 5 for third. Whether or not I deem the item acceptable is MY call and MY call only. If you want to bribe me with something else instead that will possibly garner a bid, then by all means.

REVISION 3 ADDITION: If you won 1st tier on the prior run led by whomever uses this system, you CANNOT bid 1st tier for the next run. This is to ensure that everyone gets a fair shake at the "primo" items.

The tiers of items are listed as follows, based on the current items that have loaded since the zone's return:

a four-headed battleaxe of abyssal doom
a glimmering adamantite shock lance
a golden spellbook etched with platinum
a mattock of the titans
a portable hole
a silver plated spellbook etched with platinum
a silvery suit of elven chainmail
a small oaken drum wrapped with dragonhide
a steel crossbow studded with sapphires
a winged shining steel great helm
an ancient staff of the arch-magi
an onyx spellbook etched with platinum
the intricately runed belt of the slaadi lords
the mystical boots of the traveller
the preserved eyelid of a balor demon
the scaled helm of the dragonkind
the warmaul of celestial glory

TIER 3:

a flaming quill from the Phoenix
a small apparently empty vial
a small vial of green slime
a small vial of noxious fumes

a thick wooden arrow with smoky fletching
a translucent black crystal
an ancient tooled dragonhide quiver
an onyx beer mug with encircling diamonds

Last, but not least, I am reserving the option to claim an item for every fifth (5th) run I lead. I may or may not take this option, but if I do, I will compensate the eq pot as best as I can. I will try to state which item I will be claiming at the beginning of the run, but due to the somewhat randomness of items, this may or may not happen.

Having said that, I wish all of you the best of luck in your bids, and I hope this system turns out to be fair and acceptable to all!

Some modifications to points were made as a result to the revisions.

1 person lost more points as a result from winning a 2nd tier item 1st round (but can still bid next run).

2 or 3 gained points back or received bidding eligibility for bidding 2nd tier items.

You should know that item is nothin but a regular item for any char that is not a squid.
Anyway "Mthril tentacle ring" is much better or "a porcelain doll faced mask" if you want the pfa.

note: I can't post stats of items but, is my opinion if I think a 14 hours zone item don't have the stats it should have, thats all. Things like say I can use that with my bard just for sing recovery song is not going to make me rol a bard for use it. Even more if I sell this Tia item in the auction prolly will go to a squid and not to a bard for a cheap price, or any guy with lots of plats that want have a tia item in his bag.
