How much do you work?

Postby Jhorr » Wed Jul 05, 2006 1:04 pm

As a follow-up to Adriorn's poll, let's see how much do Toril players work and/or go to school per week. Understanding our audience might help tweaking the game to accomodate our lifestyles.

I was just shy of abused. You know, if I counted homework from school in there, I'd make it. 50 hour work-week and 7 classroom hours.

I get up for work at 1:30-2:00 AM, every day but Wednesday and Sunday, to be at work by 3:00 AM. I'm usually home between 2 and 4 PM. Combined with a full time class load, homework, and family, my mudding schedule is hectic and sporadic.

45 hours a week, or thereabouts, plus a 45 minute to 1 hour drive one-way into and back from work, so if you add it all together it's enough to make me tired. It all leaves me maybe two hours for anything else during my day.

I work 50 hours or so a week on average.. but since I work out of my house 90% of the time, I don't do much commuting. So it actually feels like a standard 40 hour week. I don't understand how people can tolerate being in a car 2 hours a day. Ugh :)

I don't want to be a student until I die to avoid paying off my student loans like you, though. You're just jealous because your mom liked my stripping, anyway. :(

OUCH.
Damn, man, you are a busy dude.
That's pretty heavy, I can't really see myself being able to do that seriously these days.

On topic: For my official main current job I work 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri, F/T, never on weekends, good benefits.
It takes me 5-10 mins to ride to or from on my bicycle, which I normally do.
Often a lot is expected of us, with a high and demanding workload, but sometimes it is chilled.
Overall, it's a pretty darn good setup.

Well I'm one of the abused ones because of me owning a business. My day starts at 4am and ends arounnd 8pm or so mon-sat. At least i can have the others work for me 2 out of the 6 days so i don't burn out!

Normally 46-47 hrs a week. When I give a test or a quiz, add another 2-3 hrs for grading.

well, i work 8am to 6 pm 6 days a week. usually get up at 630 am to shower and eat and stuff, then when i get off work i am more often than not stuck in traffic for two and a half hours... combine this with me chasing skirt some days and other days getting wasted and waking up somewhere far away or me getting into a fight and going to the shop for bodywork, and you get someone who muds every now and then at rare times..

fortunately for me im suspended from work so i can mud as much as i want
