5-6 is pushing it for me... and that's with extensive rl preparation. Cooking meals three days in advance, filling up every sippy cup I own for my son.. ummmm... you get the point. I tried it once, zone fell through.. *shrug*

I've managed quite nicely for the RP Finale twice now though!! Why kill dragons when you can RIDE THEM!!! WOOT!

i chose 5-6 because there wasnt an option for 3-4

however, i do think that long zones are fine, as long as they are zones that can be planned for. honestly a 8 hour impromptu jot invasion just isnt a good idea.

jot invasion and muspel invasion should both be very hard, and rare, but should be done at a full sprint.

If there were some way to SAVE the zone, I wouldn't care if the zone took 3 weeks. But, since we're limited to a single sitting I think 10-12 is the most I could ever do these days. Maybe 14-16 if I had the entire weekend off and my wife was out of town.

The poll sorely needs an option for less than three hours. Even when I used to play (yes I wasn't always just a bbs troll), anything much more than that just wasn't too fun. We would do it for the eq.. but it wasn't enjoyable.

for me it really depends, if it's scheduled or happens at a time where I can devote 8-10 hours for a zone, then that would probably be my max. And even then 8-10 hours is pushing it, and this is something I would not be able or want to do on a regular basis. My comfort level would be 3-4 hours or less.

I think the thread is a bit misleading. Thillindel is not nessessarily asking, whats the longest you feel comfortable sitting at a keyboard and doing a zone. He is asking only about Epic zones. Epic zones are not for everyone. If you answered 1-4 hours then you might need to shy away from epic zones.

epic zones take planning, and with advanced notice and adjusting of rl schedules to fit them in i think 8 hours would be more than doable.

up to 8 hours for an EPIC zone is fine with me. any other zone shouldn't really take more than 4. easy zones no longer than 2. *shrug* can't really afford more time reasonably.

in other words: scheduled ahead for a week or 3 - 8 hour zoning is good, else it should be quite a lot less.

and i don't even have family to support and cook for as lilira :(

i am aware zones can go horribly wrong, and it's alright if stuff takes a bit longer then. punishment to those who deserve it is okie! hehe
