i'm abroad yet sad.

Postby muma » Sun Jun 03, 2007 8:40 pm

well, i'm in the netherlands right now, and as much as i love traveling, i'm having a horrible time.

key word: a male homo sapien broke my heart a couple of times, and now i'm all alone. even tho i am with a large group of drunken college kids. i guess that's not surprising. i wonder if i'll come out of this alive and sane.

Macs. how do you get on the mud using them? call me stupid, but i don't know if there is telnet on macs, plus this computer's lang is dutch, so i don't know where to look on it. is there a free mud client i can download? without needing many download instructions since i can't read dutch well?

Chin up, Muma!
Yer travelling! Just remember there are a *lot* of people who would love the opportunity to do that, when as young as you.
Enjoy and try to make the most of it all!
Oh, and be very wary of your passport, wallet & all that at all times - I'm sure you are ;)

I mudded for about a year or so initially using a MAC - it has some telnet type program I think - it really sucked.

There are some MUD clients for MACs, search for some etc.

I don't know how much this will help, but in OSX you can switch the language at runtime pretty easily. Here are some instructions on how it works: http://www.scl.utah.edu/computers/mac/h ... uages.html

TinTin++ is supposed to work on OSX, but I think I tried the client once and didn't like it. Maybe you'll have better luck though...

Leah...

You're so much better off without him.

What a jackass.

Men are pigs.

You deserve better.

He wasn't worth your time.

It's a good thing you got out when you did.

There's plenty more where that came from.

You're beautiful and wonderful, and he didn't deserve you.

What a jackass.

When God closes a door ... He shows us the other hottie we couldn't see because the stupid door was in the way.

He obviously didn't appreciate the great thing he had.

He was a total loser.

::tries to think of one she might have missed... oh yeah::

What a jackass.

Many hugs and much love from somebody else who speaks the language of Woman. Sit back, deep breath, glass of champagne... who's that good lookin' guy trying to make eye contact on the other side of the bar?

Leah,

I'm sorry things didn't pan out with the big "V". I know you were always pretty faithful to defend him when we gave you a hard time.....but I have to agree with Kelly....he was a jackass. To steal and liberally paraphrase something a friend once told me: "Being alone isn't the end of the world....being tied down could feel like it!". Keep your chin up!

OMG, was this the "V" from the gathering that just broke your heart??? Seriously???

I thought you wised up and dumped his uptight ass ages ago.

I'll be happy to go beat him up for you, if you want. Me and Carl can go get ahold of him and make him cry like a little girl!
