Meet Belicia Rose, my granddaughter. Here she is half an hour old. I'm in love already. I consider her an amazing blessing, although her mother may be of two minds on that. She had a long and tiring delivery, but we found out the reason was because the umbilical cord was wrapped around Belicia's neck twice, and was holding her inside the birth canal. At this time, she seems to be completely unharmed by the circumstances.

I would have posted pics of her and her mother together, but the ones I got still had quite a good deal of blood in them.

Oh, and before I forget to mention it... 6 lb 12 oz, and 21 1/2 inches long!

Oh, and also... today, 08/22/07, at 4:36 pm!

Hmm hiding in the shadows from within the birth canal .. Such stealth skills in one so young is unheard of!!

the best thing about the grandmother is that when they scream the hardest they can always go back to mommy!
