New Addition to the Family!

Postby Kifle » Tue Nov 27, 2007 6:42 pm

No, not a baby, a kitty! It's a siamese/Himalayan mix. Basically it looks like a seal point siamese with medium length hair -- beautiful cat. Anyway, we got it at 13 weeks old today, and I believe that is a bit too old to separate it, but nothing that will be overly traumatic for the rest of its life, I hope. I was wondering if you guys have any tips as what's the best route to socialize this little lady into the family (3 kids, 5, 8, 10). The five yr old is very energetic and loves animals, so she went crazy when she saw it and the poor thing tried to run out of my arms. It's name is General Meow (General Mao). I'll put up pics when I think it wont be scared of the camera.

She's so CUTE!!! Just like you, Carl.

And don't let anybody rib you about the super-cheesy name. I used to have a rabbit named Ludwig Bun Beethoven.

Cats generally make their own way into your family .. let her do her thing, and dont let the kids be overly exuberant, they tend to love too much for a cat .. her siamese nature will come out and she will make herself heard very soon! make sure she gets spayed early, the female siamese in heat is LOUD

god those are my two fav breeds of cat rolled into one .. i am OOBER jealous! and she is beautiful!!! god when her color starts coming in she is going to be even more pretty!

I really hope you have a good vacuum!!! spring is going to be HELL!

Look's just like my sister's. Funny thing about cats is...sometimes we can't tell the gender. LOL! So thinking her cat was a female, she named her Lilia, now, she's Emilio..err he. lol! But he won't respond with emilio, only Lilia. Cat's just seem way to fem to be males! Mind you, we've changed names several times on different cats after really checking out to see if it's got it's frank and berries. *laugh*

Copycat. My Hunter's pet cat was named Chairman Meow.

It's the only proper name for a cat.
