It's about damn time. I've been waiting all winter to see some good racing. So, who do you think has what it takes to win the cup this year? Are the toyotas too strong? What happened to dodge? Is Dale Jr. really GAY? Let me know!

And you got so tired of waiting that you decided to watch cars drive in an oval a few hundred times instead?

Nascar isn't a sport, period.

You know how to lose a NASCAR driver in a high-speed chase, right? Make a right-hand turn.

I don't get how people can watch cars go in an oval all day long over and over and over and over and over and over and over and....you get my point. It's not a sport, and I think the only reason it has the amount of sponsors it has is to keep the redneck bible belt people who only have the one channel that comes in on their rabbit ears in their single-wide informed that there ARE personal hygiene products, and there ARE other alcoholic beverages besides moonshine. The cars are fine pieces of machinery, putting automotive engineering to the test and pushing it to its extremes. Don't get me wrong there.

It's too bad they can't make the races more exciting like F-1 or Rally. That I can tolerate watching for more than 1 lap, even if it too bores me to tears after a bit if the race isn't even close.

Where's the 'NASCAR isn't even a sport' option?

I've driven from Chicago to Topeka full throttle during a med. response. It's mentally challenging more than physical. *shrug*

NASCAR pisses me off too much to watch for this reason: "Looky there, JimmyJoe! It's the PepsiHomeDepotChrysler driven by BillyBob Pigpusher. You know he's gawt a flat taar! He's ah gawna have to make uh pitstawp sumtime soon or he's ah gawna bee all ovur that thar race track! And ifin'z they dawnt warsh 'is winders, or wrassle them brakes in line, he's gawna be in big truble!"

Were you without air-conditioning with a fire-suit and a helmet? Did the shocks get replaced with a solid bar of steel? Did the vehicle shake your spine for eight hours while you tried to _race_ with a bunch of rednecks with 700+ hp engines?

Hmm. Obviously not a physical sport, as you can see with notable overweight driver x. Oh what? They're all fit? That might be an indication.

It's an ambulance, and it goes 121 mph with a 370 hp Cummins diesel. It's quite the fun all out.

There aren't any 400 pound jockeys either, but that has nothing to do with the physical demands of horse racing.
