Make Wimpy actually do what it's supposed to?

On a Cloud High Above Hyssk
A puffy white cloud is flattened on top and inexplicably forms a solid
floor floating in the air high above the city of Hyssk. Far below here
can be seen the major pyramids of the yuan-ti city, separated by verdant
jungle. Somehow there is no wind here, and the air temperature is quite
warm. Giant soaring birds, possibly vultures or eagles, frequently
pass over and under this cloud, and occasionally a series of storm clouds
can be seen scudding below, dumping their loads of rain on the jungle.
The only way off this cloud seems to be the sure suicide of stepping off
the edge and plunging to the ground far, far below.

As you can see, I wasn't lagged from a skill use. Wasn't bashed, wasn't kicked, wasn't ANYTHING, and had wimpy at 450 and it didn't fire at all, Not ONCE.

Fully agree. Wimpy should auto abort and flee. Rogues get raped too while garoting. just not logical.

I've noticed that if you complete a spell and immediately after that you get attacked wimpy won't work. There is some small amount of lag after finishing a cast (very small), but its like wimpy isn't checked for half a round after you finish a spell.

It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.
Aremat group-says 'tanks i highly suggest investing 20 silver in training weapons from cm to cut down on the losing scales to shield'

There's a small bugfix to wimpy code lurking in the pile of code about to be moved into the mainmud that may address this...if not I'll take a further look.

Glancing at it, I had the same reaction as Rylan. I think this is the period of lag after spellcasting. You're unable to take any actions, thus can't flee.

so when's this coming? :)
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

you can stil cast areas
while in process of casting them if something hits you
you still can flee out and finish the spell.....

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. diedmore because it didnt work though
