why can't we create half-elf rogues?

Why can't we create half-elf rogues? You'd think that being a rogue would be right up the rp alley of a half-elf.

Half-elves are totally ripped off. They don't get innate sneak, so it's not overpowered. Half-elves should be the most versatile race of all but no clue why it isn't so. They can't group with evils either...

Half elf, AND half human?! And you want to be able to group with evils? LAUGH!

They certaintly wouldn't be allowed to group with drow. And most other evil races would sooner use em as slave labor or a food source, either for themselves or for their livestock. I would think you might have a sparing chance to group with some orcs, thats about it...

They definitely get ripped off tho as far as class options.

Traditionally, humans are the most versatile race. Followed quickly by half-elves.

Hrmm...as the grouping with evils thing goes..who's to say the elven part of the half-elf isn't drow?

I been wondering about the class limitation on halvsies for ages now...just never thought to bring it up.

Humans smell, elveses nance, but Kallinar's a barbarian in his pants.

There's so much half-elves should technically be able to do. Heck, limit it by where they start if that's better. Make it so a half-elf rogue can't start on Leuth (I've always wondered about those rogueish elves...), or a half-elf ench can't start in WD if you MUST limit them. *shrug* Considering Halfies can't innate sneak, really the only reason to have a half-elf is to have a human that can see in infra. Unless of course you enjoy the RP connotations.

Urm...LAUGH indeed. Where did I even remotely imply they should group with evils? I said they can't group with evils in order to point out that they not only have shitty class options, they don't group with evils. Oh, but I did say the class options are ripped off cuz every D&D game I have (PC) makes half-elves the uber versatile multi-class option.
