Odd places you've seen world loading mobs load.
Okay, looking at trying to fix up some of the oddness with the world loads.
I know some trouble places are Muspel, Jot, Tia, Avernus, and SPOB.
I'm sure there are more, so if you all could please post places you've seen world load mobs load, and don't think they should be loading there, we'll see if we can get the oddness fixed up.
Thanks!

I think 100% global quest mobs like the Oakvale Prime dragon and the ball lightning mobs shouldn't load in any hometown whatsoever, due in part to the retardedness of justice.

Dwarven bard in Clouds Palace.
Drow raider in jot.

The proliferation of global loads, especially the little drow raiders, is really too much in Graydawn.

I think some high end globals like dragons should be able to rock up wherever they like... The hulburg sailor... on the river styx... priceless. Perhaps divide the distro system further, one that loads in hometowns, one that loads in easy prime spots, one that loads prime not in homwtowns, one that laods anywhere?

Here's the thing, I really have no way of seperating what types of mobs load where. What I'm able to do however is keep them from loading in a specific range of rooms. Its an all or nothing type of thing.
So far I've got Jot, Muspel, Demi, Spob, Md, Rib, All Hometowns, Roots, Avernus, Tia, Bc?, Brass, and Clouds.
Anymore?

I do not know if this actually fits the topic but tonight in the Greycloak Hills in addition to 4 mobs I know are supposed to load there I found the following:
A glass blowers apprentice walks with a relaxed pace.
An orc in assorted armor strides through the area.
A shriveled old gnome stands here, muttering to himself.
A fearsome green dragon scours the countryside for prey.
A pale young man hides near the path.
A raving lunatic screams about the end of the world nearby.
A merchant from a distant city has traveled far to make profit.
Is this excessive and thus odd? If not, please ignore.

There's nothing in that list that shouldn't be there Lalan. :-)
Most of them are the global load mobs mentioned in this discussion. One of them is native to the zone. The Greycloaks are a place that tend to load alot of global mobs naturally. :-)
I found the banished faerie in the Spirit World... I'm not quite sure things should load in an area specifically designed for a spell/skill quest :)

Did you guys remove lava tubes as a load area? Seems that way, i been looking for timestop gnome last few boots and the whole area there is bone dry of globals, which is too bad, as its an interesting place to make people search around in. Just might want to reduce the old numbers a tad...
Know its been said before, but remove zones like jot/musp/brass/ and especially avernus from global load engine.
Also, is it possible to consider making some !rent items for certain !repop global load quests repop? For example Aritmus's head.... if somebody smites him and lets him rot, the head is gone forever that boot, which is just too bad if you spent last seven boots lookin for the gnome and you just happen to find him that boot after people have been dinking around in demi. Its not like you could abuse this situation... if the gnome is quested another head wont do you any good....

SS doesn't seem like an odd place for global load mobs to be... well, ok, the paladin group is a bit odd there, but they could be scouting their next raid target or something! ;)
The guild area outside of waterdeep isn't odd either, but since it can effect evils doing spell quests, I'll get that fixed up.
Not sure why a lavender man loaded in bryn unless I've got one of the rooms flagged wrong or something, which is possible with that many rooms, heh. Will check into it.

It might've wandered there from the load area on Thunderhead, just an FYI.

Yeah I keep loading in Copenhagen...can we fix this please?
At first it was pretty cool, every single boot I would pop in downtown Copenhagen, which was cool since I could run out and stock up on potions and hit up on all the other rares (which this city is just full of, kinda like Hulburg). But lately its getting kinda tedious, I mean, I *am* a global uber-rare secret quest mob, I should probably load in some more diverse locations, like its been ages since I last popped on a Caribbean island, or on the shores of the Mediterranean..
If you got time, please look into this. Thanks, -Daggaz

On a Ladder
d
Clinging to the sturdy metal ladder that is bolted to the northern
wall of the shaft, nothing is visible in any direction other than solid
rock. The shaft is only three feet wide and extends into the darkness above
and below for dozens of feet. The rungs of the ladder are kept polished
by the hands of the merchants and adventurers that are brave enough to
make the trip between the two cities.
