hitall

Two issues:

(i) it looks like hitall now engages a player even if it misses - this feels wrong to me (only encourages agro mobs all over toril to start spamming hitall in the hopes of getting lucky :)
Edit: further testing showed not all missed hitalls engaged me, only the ones where i saw the 'giant misses you with his crush.' message.

(ii) mobs can hitall while stunned - this appears broken

Hitall just seems weak in the first place. I've been testing with it. If you dual wield, you'd _think_ your chances to hit several mobs attacking you at once would improve. Doesn't at all reflect that. As for the post, and a stunned mob hitall'g -boo hiss!

With hitall being maxed, I generally hit almost every target in the room every time. Have fun practicing. :)

Turn Vic off and make sure you aren't argo and see if that changes anything. If all that stuff is off a miss should engage you if it does, should be fixed cause that don't make no sense.

This is a reply to the 1st post by Demuladon.

If you type kill, and then miss then you are also engaged.

Hitall is the same. When you type hitall and don't even miss then it is the same as you did not type kill.

It makes sense to me that you engage as long as you have initiated combat, even if you missed.

Thought I would clairify my first post saying hitall is weak in the first place. I should have said 'it's weak initially' That's what I meant :P I like hitall - indiscriminate bitchslaps for one and all!! Fun stuff.

And you can generall keep hitall'g, but if you leave the room after your hitall lag, it won't let you hitall in the next room for a bit. Not sure why.

One of the best uses for hitall is engaging mobs, especially ones you miss. If this were to be "fixed" there'd be relatively no use for hitall any longer.

It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

As a warrior who can't always see invisible or hidden hitall is very useful as it allows me to engage mobs without having to search or I can't engage at all because they are invisible.

HITALL
Applied skill.

Syntax: hitall : hit aggressive monsters
hitall all : hit all monsters
Aggressive: Yes
Class/Level: Warrior/Paladin/Anti-paladin 15th

This skill allows you to hit all or just the aggressive monsters in
the room simultaneously. Each monster may be hit once and only once,
regardless of proficiency in "dual wield" or "double attack." Using
"hitall" will cause you to be stunned for several rounds of combat,
with the amount depending on how many monsters you attempted to hit.

I'm not certain of this, but from recent hitall practice it seems that whenever I 'hitall all' the disorientation effects are increased by other players being in the room.

Essentially, I sit in a room with 25 mobs, hitall all/wait 25000, and most of the time have no problems with disorientation. Another player comes in the room and I have to up the wait to like 28000+ to avoid disorientation effects.

Would it be possible to 'fix' this so that the disorientation is only with regards to mobs targetted?

Edit: Actually, testing some more I think the additional wait had to do with my being rescued by the other player for some reason. Now that he's in the room but not rescuing me the 25000 wait seems fine. I did make sure that when the tick came around I wasn't actually lagged at that moment. Just seems the disorientation recovery is briefly halted with a rescue.

I think the file needs updated. It used to lag you so horrifically that it wasn't worth using. It's definitely not nearly as bad as (the lag) it used to be
