Postby Arilin Nydelahar » Fri Sep 29, 2006 9:59 pm

I realize dragons are supposed to be buff, I can get that.

But this was the faerie dragon in gc, it's a small dragon.

How exactly does a "dragon" the size of a human wing buffet any player race?

I'm sure the problem is more in the fact that the mob is higher level than it should be since I doubt every mob w/ race dragon was looked at to adjust accordingly to the new dragon code.

Makes ya wonder...

And yet, its still easily soloable by multiple classes.

Its more difficult to be sure, but nothing you can't handle. Just feeb it and you win.

For the record, I did con it. It cons lower than 50.

Appreciate the ever so valid input though. Thanks for missing the point of the post!

The psuedodragon in Mir is no longer flagged as a real dragon. It used to be, and even tho it conned like level five, it would still annhilate a high level player thanks to the new procs. This was posted, and the gods responded quickly, fixing the flag. (Basically the only dragon bonus it gets now is the roar.)

So yeah, now its cake. Anything that still retains the dragon procs should be pretty damn mean tho, even at lower levels. I imagine the faerie dragon is flagged real_dragon or whatever.

Still, considering its size, wing buffet does seem a bit over the top. Unless you figure its a magical attack, after all, it IS a faerie dragon. I wouldnt complain to much tho if a dragon eviscerated me with its claw, small sized or not. I think I would try to run away while holding my intestines as well as possible.

a few points..

the mob is easily soloable still by petmakers...essentially also if u have pwb etc.. as jake said, u win. but yes, it's ridiculous that a mob this small has these kind of innates, the laughing gas was cool etc. but tailsweep and wingbuffet was just silly... having said that, it's still the easiest fly item in game to get really..isn't it? noticed that wraithform pets really aren't troubled by it's procs at all too...interesting... but fireform on the caster does SFA.

anyway...it's very unlikely anything in GC will get any attention again any time soon tho......so...move along?

Which is kind of sad considering the source of the mob (or, if you prefer a modernized version, there is this). I mean, really, getting buffetted with those wings is just embarassing.

Human density is roughly 1000kg/m^3. Sink damn you, sink!

Dragon density is 9700kg/m^3. You have no idea how difficult it was to obtain this measurement.

Erm... easiest fly item in the game?

Wings of the Griffon. Just get a minimum 3man evil brass team together. Usually takes from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the group, loads every boot. Just remember, bring NO goodies.

If you can't handle that, speak to Elet. I think he must have about 36 pairs of those things..
