Perm Globes

Postby Thilindel » Thu May 08, 2008 5:44 am

Is there a reason that some mobs are perm minor globed and perm globed? They have some hidden artifact or why do some trivial mobs have these effects?

I'm talking about silly drulak mobs and others that are like level 15. Peripheral mobs in the area that are named don't even have the globes. There are several other areas in the game that have minor and major perm globe mobs, but again..why? I guess it's much like how warrior/rogue/cleric mobs can DI without eq, etc.

No, it's not the same as being able to DI. Perm minor globe means mage spells of lower levels can't do damage on the mob. No lower level mob should have this, it's just not fair to low-level mages.

If level 50 mobs can be 100% MR, why can't the occasional lower level mob require physical damage? As long as its not a common problem, I'm not sure that its a big deal. I always thought it was good to prepare people for things that might happen when you get to 50.

low level mobs shouldnt have globe at all. mages already have it pretty rough unless twinked out in stellar gear or they get a lot of outside help.

Also take away their large numbers of hitpoints and ability to multiclass and non-rogue mobs ability to track! Maybe just mmail their loot to us so we don't even have to find drulak in the first place?

No. Unplug the game. Logic defies some, apparently. Asking for logic is too much.

I thought gods had given them minor globe so they yield more xp.

I find it fair if something lowlevel, but magical, like a pixie, zombie etc. have minor globe.

I agree with you on that. The mobs I was talking about are lvl 10-15 within Drulak castle, and other areas that I could recall off the top of my head. They're warrior class, that track and are also fireshielded sometimes. Not that area specifically, but there's no reason for this since the xp they give is so low and no better.

if they have globe of any kind, how does a mage of any kind kill them without being twinked out in a full set of gear?

Evermeet sucks, always has. Don't expect that to change.
