I know I'm posting this to help rogues out even more, but I feel this makes sense. Why the HELL do you ALWAYS unhide when stealing something from a mob? I can understand it having a % chance to break hide, but come on. I don't think it's that realistic to ALWAYS see the person that stole something from you.
If you fail the steal, ALWAYS unhide.
If you steal successfully, make it a % chance to unhide. Not always.

I agree. Sneaking while hiding. You can clearly move. Same with being invisible. It seems to make you vis too.
Not to hijack, but why ALSO don't bards get steal? It's what they do AND it's fixed. There's no practicing.

i agree with this point, but stealing successfully shouldnt have a % chance to unhide, you either fail and get caught (unhide), get what you want but get caught anyways (unhide), but stealing successfully and not getting caught shouldnt get you noticed

Seems like there are at least 4 outcomes for a steal attempt:
1. Successful steal and the target doesn't notice the thief.
2. Successful steal but the target notices the thief.
3. Failed steal and the target notices the thief.
4. Failed steal but the target doesn't notice the thief.
