Reward for longterm players

Curious to see how others feel: What if you gain 1 hp per 100 % over level 50? Lose the xtra hp(s) accordingly if you die and lose the % notch.

I generally don't like it, but one benefit might be that it would encourage players to exp more. If implemented, the benefits should gradually decrease, making it harder and harder to gain hp.

Figured it'd help. even the most known players in the mud would have 40 more hps if this were implimented.

dang how many of u guys have char w/ more than 100% over lvl 50? i have yet to get one that high

Whats sad is that 1 hp per 100% is pretty close to what I get on my squid in the first place. Not that id every get that much xp on my squid anyways.

maybe if xp was balanced across the board. but i see that as just another way for rogues to get more hp. they hardly die with hide.

A way to reward both long time players and people with nothing better to do than sit around in easy experience zones all day trying to rack up hps.

bad idea, meta (trading exp for stats) sucks ballz.

but to be more specific,

You'd have to start balancing exp gain rates per class as well as balance meta against eq and quests....

This quest xyz that took me 100 hours is crap compared to how much extra hps i couldve gotten from exping.

I think we could use an alternative advancement system, however, direct meta I don't think is a good idea at all.

why dont they do this. you can meta for 1 lvl of hp (ie. 4 of mage) for every 50 lvl of exp. so it basically lvl 1+lvl2+lvl3+etc til +lvl 50. to gain that xp. now that's an insane amount of xp. and i'm pretty certain there no one out there with that much exp. and if there is. look me up on the mud. syssok. cuz i have some low lvl you can help xp.
