storage store is your friend, good for light sources too, or run to bank and buy a blank book, I could see not needing a book for minor creation.

You don't have ten seconds to scribe magic missile into a new MC'd spellbook?
Kesena OOC: 'i wish my daddy bought me power tools'
Dorgh group-says 'damn, even with Cofen helping Mori, they STILL can't kill someone
Hekanut says 'I know level doesn't matter much, but most won't take seriously if a level 2 claims to be the best thing before, during, and after sliced bread.'
Rather than seeing "subpar race/class," see "challenge."

But Lahgen, she was talking about when you're dead and naked and haven't even left the guild yet. There's no way to MC a book/quill. I don't really have much of an opinion on the idea itself, but I think people have missed that what she was suggesting is a very basic way to defend oneself on the way to the Inn/bank/shop.
