Idea for Antis and Paladins

Warriors have always been the first choice for tanking. Trolls are quite effective with their mix of agility and minor self healing. Barbarians have decent agility and amazing con. But since this agility field has become apparent to groups, they seem to prefer, and almost demand elf/troll tanks. This puts some of the other races/classes at a bit of a disadvantage based on group perception. Paladins/Antis weren't terribly desireable to begin with, and now its even more difficult for them to get tanking spots in groups. I suggest two different ways of approaching this problem.

First and probably the easiest: up mounted combat a little to make up a little for the gap between them. Quick, dirty, easy.

Alternatively, i would suggest adding an ability/skill. Basically a spinoff of the "smite (opposing alignment here)" ability from DnD 3.0. Have an effect with a 2-3 minute duration that significantly improves the tanks effective armor class and damage output to critters that are the opposite of their alignment. This could be an ability similar to lay hands/lifetap with a cooldown time.

Additionally, how about changing the 3/week mount situation so that it resets with a crash? As it stands, if you're trying to zone/exp or whatever with even a mildy unstable mud (as it seems to be off and on) it makes having a mount available difficult!

Since Paladins/A-Ps are masters of mount use, doesnt it make a sense that they would have the tame mount innate ability, like rangers do...
