The Lair of Tiamat
Like the entrance to the north, this enormous lair is cut from the very
rocks upon which this plane exists. Figures of dragons and devils feasting
upon the flesh of other planar races are chiseled into nearly every visible
surface with exquisitely fine detail. Depictions carven into massive boulders
show humanoids frightened nearly to the point of death. Placed to encircle
the incredibly large depression in the cavern floor, huge morbid boulders
form a large wall of stoney fortification for the being that occupies this
lair. Deposits of obsidian and ironite sparkle and shine, giving the engraven
images an even more forboding and disgusting look. Loud sounds of heavy
inhalation and furious blasts of warmed exhaled air can be heard from both
within the cavern and outside it. Towards the south, you can see a room
inside the rock, which in comparison to the vast tunnels and huge caverns
seems rather small in size.

Kramel glances up, and you blink in surprise as Tiamat's red dragonhead descends
upon him. The powerful maw closes around him and he is lifted, screaming in agony
up into the air. Blood drips down around the red maw as Tiamat's teeth clamp down on
Kramel and the acidic spittle burns his body.

You watch as Kramel is lifted high into the air, and spat out of the red maw.
As he tumbles limply through the air, your eyes widen momentarily - he is hurtling
directly at Y O U! Before you can move aside, Kramel smashes down on you in a
bone-jarring impact.
Kramel is dead! R.I.P.

A sudden shadow falls over you, and before you can dodge aside you feel the mighty
teeth of Tiamat's red dragonhead close around you. You shriek as you are hefted up
off the ground, razored fangs ripping into you and acidic spittle searing the wounds
further.

The area spins as Tiamat's jaws grind into you one more time, before you feel yourself
lifted higher. There is a brief sensation of weightlessness, merciful sensation as the
mighty jaws release you, before you slam into (null) with bone-jarring force.
You feel yourself falling to the ground.
