Soo... just so ppl know, I've had these guys stand and watch me fight before, very odd I can't figure why they attacked me. The drider was tracking me and I expected him...

The icing on the cake: I was 19th level when this happened. I decided to stay in Scardale until the next boot so as to avoid an untimely demise in my hometown. I had been told by people (and I'm pretty sure the credits agree) that you could be in Scardale through level 20 and were kicked out at 21. Sooo.... picture me happily smiting a one of those frilly rangers on the streets of Scardale, and suddenly BAM I'm level 20 yay! BAM you are now too big for Scardale, get out and you can't come back *poof* I'm in my guild in Menzo.

A rough drider walks in to greet me in my guild (tracker). I run. I run into the three stooges that had attacked me earlier (that was right outside my guild). I flee a bit, bouncing around like a pinball, and finally manage to run out of Tier Breche, screaming like a little girl. You feel a wrenching sensation. AAAHAHHHAH!!!

I eventually found my way to an inn before the cold sleep of death found me. *twiddle* so when's the next boot? :D

Yeah, there are solutuions. I could also just go back and run my arse out of town fast (not sure how far those driders track, tho...). I just am still laughing at the whole series of events.

1. Fight tracking drider
2. Drider is assisted by what I thought were non-assisters (never got an assist message, just started pounding on me).
3. I recall my butt out to SD for a little easy cruising while the drider and his stooge friends chill.
4. I get a level and get thrown back into the fray.

It is #4 that kills me (almost literally). What a hilarious consequence of gaining a level. It would have been really priceless and almost worth it to just die and lose that level as a direct result of gaining it. LOL

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the reason the one mob assisted was because of alignment. The other two in the mob group didn't assist until the first one (Elie) did.

Well, seeing as I'm a drow and like to kill paladins and such, I'm pretty sure my align is still -1000. I am also pretty sure that the drider is evil. You think they might assist any mob that is evil? Still, I have had this same fight before where they watched me kill a drider and did not assist (evaluating tactics, observing the obviously one-sided struggle etc.).
