Implement some of the new system

Postby Disoputlip » Mon Mar 24, 2008 7:42 pm

The name 2.0 indicate that something all brand new is about to hit us, but I think mabye it should be done in steps.

I am aware that one of the big steps, with the classes, has to happen at once, and that will be the biggest step without comparison, but why not split out some of the other steps.

I was thinking about implementing the new stat scaleing as the first step.

This would even out races a little. Elves could get more hp, and dwarfs better agi, because the scaling would be the same.

I am aware that there is some race balance with feats that humans gets extra of, but I think that can wait even if you implement races as they are though of in the final scenario.

Doesn't it feel sometimes like your kicking a dead horse?

I think the first thing that has to happen is that Shevarash needs to come back from the dead.

I posted about this like awhile ago and got shot down, funny that it actually seems to be happening now with the align changes and stuff.

I think that's because Shevarash loosened the reigns a little bit and allowed Eilistraee to take a look at what could be implemented. I don't think Eilistraee was given the option before.

That's not true at all, Birile.

You'll notice no staff members ever shot you down in this thread, Flib, and that's because we think it's a good idea. We've been trying to implement pieces here and there since the Band-Aid project back in November, and will continue to do so where it makes sense.

Just because immortals don't respond to your ideas doesn't mean it's not going to happen. That only happens to me, sorry.

We're all *special* in our own way, sometimes. Some of us just ride a shorter yellow bus than others.

I am personally offended by this comment since you're trying to call me stupid. Please refrain from personal attacks on these forums.

Nah, I know you're far too intelligent to be called retarded or stupid. I was referring to other people in general, and not just on this BBS. :P I guess that doesn't make it a personal attack, but more of a broad sweeping poke at everyone's occasional stupidity. Just that some people have the bouts of stupid-syndrome more often than not.
