Or you could just not read the thread so you don't find out Harry Mudd is actually Kirk's father...

Fantastic movie. I'm not sure I quite buy into JJ's interpretation of the series though... I'm going to have a hard time believing that McCoy is his own son.

Speaking of which, I hear there are a lot of Futurama references in the movie... but I only noticed one:

Scotty saying: "I never thought to look at it as the ship standing still while space moves around it."

Anyone else catch some others?

Seriously thinking of seeing the movie a second time on IMAX...

Saw it on IMAX. Worth the extra $5.

I did as well. It was worth every extra cent.

I'm not a trekkie, but this movie was the awesome.

Is it possible for Uhura to order a Cardassian drink at that point?
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

There's no set date for when Starfleet first encountered the Cardassians, but there was one noted for living on Vulcan in the mid to late 22nd century. The series (original) started in 2260's, so I'd imagine they'd have some sort of relations.

That sextape must've been real popular to get a drink named after you.

If only the Enterprise had had a Shovel, they could have defeated that mining ship easily.
