Obama Administration Repeatedly Failed to Inspect Oil Rig

Postby teflor the ranger » Wed May 19, 2010 6:33 pm

Hopefully, Obamacare won't be even worse? Four failures to inspect the now sunken rig since 2009, almost makes the mining industry look a-ok.

I totally agree. If McCain was president this would not have happened.

The buck stops at the desk of the POTUS. Especially one that campaigned that he would personally (observe his ongoing use of "I") fix the economy, fix immigration, close Gitmo, fix foreign policy and change things for the better.

Yes Teflor, every single minor detail at every level of organization is actually decided upon by Obama himself. Not staff that was hired by previous administrations.

Robert (Bob) E. Brown is the Associate Director of Administration and Budget for the Minerals Management Service (MMS) and is the Bureau’s Chief Information Officer. He has held this position since July, 1994. - http://www.mms.gov/adm/adab.html

Shit man, you could have at least "but Clintoned" that since this guy has been running that agency since Clinton's administration!

Instead I'll blame Bush for not replacing this guy with someone competent during his 8 years of "leadership." Obama's been too busy cleaning up all of the other problems Bush left behind to fire one minor underling in one minor agency... plus he can't afford to contribute to unemployment right now. Bush wasn't remotely worried about that so it would have been fine!

So busy that he can't clean up his own problems. Guantanamo Bay: still open for business. Now the Gulf of Mexico is on fire. Where is the change? Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, where is the withdraw? What happened to the Patriot act?

Or are you going to tell me that Obama's been too busy clean up Bush's mess, so he actually encouraged the refresh of the Patriot act?

Are you saying that the Gulf of Mexico was on fire before Obama started, or that Obama opened up Guantanimo bay?

I think the use of the word "Now" is pretty clear.

You know, Sarvis, for someone who placed so much responsibility on the President's doorstep when Bush was in office, it's rather disingenuous for you to try to deflect responsibility away from the President now that he's someone you voted for.

So you're saying the Gulf of Mexico being on fire isn't change?

Or that we should still blame him for a bunch of stuff started by his predecessors?

Wait, I've got it. BOTH!

Buh-bye now!

It's his administration, not anyone else's. Unless you're suggesting that the Obama administration is impotent and unable to execute change.
