Now who's playing the fear card?

“If we do not have a turnout in the minority communities, Latino and African-American, equal to our percentage of the voter population, we could very well see ourselves turning the clock back on so many issues important to these communities,” Clyburn said.

I'm waiting for you liberals to denounce these race baiting fear tactics you accused Republicans of using.

They won't denounce what bolsters their honorless position of refusing justice for all by working tirelessly for a special class of citizens.

Ms. Sanchez recently caused a stir here after an interview on Spanish-language television during which she said "the Vietnamese and the Republicans...are trying to take away this seat."

Sanchez is a Democrat candidate.

Seriously, can you imagine if John McCain had got on the air and said WHITE PEOPLE, the Democrats and blacks (96-98% of which voted for Obama) are trying to take away this presidency?

Come on liberals, DEFEND your president from the same accusations of fear tactics you leveled at Bush and the GOP eons ago (2 years).

"...the president's demand that the chamber "prove" it's not using foreign money is like the "birthers" demanding Obama prove he was born in America..."

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2010/10/ ... -congress/

Barack Obama's shameful innuendo that the United States Chamber of Commerce might be using "foreign money" has set a new low standard for the presidency. That the White House admits he has no proof means he is asking opponents, "When did you stop beating your wife?"

It's a cheap shot that will cost the president dearly in the area where he can least afford it: his reputation. Already repudiated for his disastrous policies, his turn to rancid fearmongering, even when he knows his claims are false, shows a character defect.

It is also a sudden departure from his "post-American" view of the world. He famously described himself as a "Citizen of the World," but now uses "foreign" as a synonym for "corrupt."

As ABC's Jake Tapper noted, the president's demand that the chamber "prove" it's not using foreign money is like the "birthers" demanding Obama prove he was born in America. Touché.

Obama got into political straits because he ignored public will on everything from bailouts to taxes to health care. Now he tries to get out by raising the specter of a foreign bogeyman.

The old advice about the best way out of a hole is to stop digging should apply. Yet good advice is wasted on him.

The only solution is to give him a Congress that will stand for the American majority. That's the change we need now.

Where was Obama's demands when the unions spent 450 million on his election including the revelation last week from the SEIU that they may be spending foreign money on this year's election?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... ns_opinion

The smears about campaign money also open the president to charges of hypocrisy. Mr. Obama had no problems with liberal nonprofits keeping donor lists private as allowed by law (including when they run campaign ads). He never insisted that the unions that spent $450 million to elect him in 2008 disclose their donors—who may include other unions or even private individuals. Mr. Obama's own campaign refused to make public the names of more than 10% of its donors.
...
His White House political director, Patrick Gaspard, came from the Service Employees International Union, which doesn't disclose its campaign contributors and admitted earlier this week that it might be spending money from foreign nationals on this year's elections.

This article almost deserves its own threads. Its an interview with the executive vice president for government affairs at the US Chamber of Commerce.

He basically lays out his position which is

1) the WH is leveling unfounded charges without any evidence except a suspicion released as a "report" from a leftist blogger.
2) the chamber will not release its donor report because every time anyone supports the other side against a leftist cause they are incessenantly attacked by leftists. He cites several situations from the past 2 years including healthcare, wall street reform, gay marriage etc.
3) the chamber has spent 33 million in issue ads, the unions spent 420 million to elect obama and democrats
3a) the DISCLOSE act, "answer" to citizen's united that "restores" the campaign finance limits the SC threw out, carves out exceptions for unions. So unions can spend freely, but corporations can't.

No surprise here that the Democrats are throwing more political favors to their friends.
Teflor does. Teflor does not.
