Have you no shame SIR!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101006/ap_ ... _oil_spill

WASHINGTON – The White House blocked efforts by federal scientists to tell the public just how bad the Gulf oil spill could have been, according to a panel appointed by President Barack Obama to investigate the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history.
...
University of South Florida oceanographer David Hollander, who was also at the St. Petersburg meeting of 150 scientists studying the oil flow on Wednesday, said he was surprised to find that the White House budget office gagged NOAA.
...
"It would have been much better to know, from a scientific point of view, the reality," he said in an interview with the AP.

Am I reading this wrong?

Cause this is just awesome, in every possible way.

So, these guys want to say how bad it COULD have been, based on models and research. But, we have a different REALITY of what actually did happen. So, basically, they want to publicly say how poor their models/findings were? And they're mad that the White House doesn't want them to talk about a predicted hypothetical future that did not come to be and was proven wrong?

Awesome.

In reality, aliens could have attacked by juicing a retired spacecraft at only fraction of the speed of light into the earth, killing billions.

My hat is off to President Obama for helping to restore sanity instead of keeping fear alive by spreading false predictions about hypothetical futures.

My hats off to liberals and environmentalists for NOT having a mfuking gang bang on Obama's ass over this.

It's frefreshing that they've clearly moved past this kind of childish responses that dominated their relationship with Bush.

lol yea right.

Clearly, the fault of a Republican majority in congress that was replaced by a Democrat majority about 1,400 days ago.
